Benjamin Miles is exactly the sort of person you want on your team. I’ve been Ben’s employer and supervisor for many years at both furryLogic, and at the company I founded myself, Shire Digital Solutions. I can’t say enough good things about Ben, the work he does, and the value he’ll bring to your team.

Throughout our time together, Ben has demonstrated wonderful professionalism. When dealing with coworkers and clients, he’s always friendly and courteous. Ben is also an excellent communicator with both clients and coworkers. Ben is always calm and collected, but willing to push back when appropriate. I can’t tell you how many times he’s done a great job of talking to our clients to help tease out the information he needs to bring their creative vision to life.

Ben has also been, by far, the most organized person who has ever worked for me. He takes fantastic notes on every project and documents his work brilliantly. As his manager, I’ve never had a question about how he’s spent his time or where he stands on a task – all of that information has been readily available to me through his notes in the various task management and time tracking systems we’ve used over the years.

I’ve consistently been blown away by Ben’s work. Honestly, getting to see his final deliverable has been a joy for me for many years. His mastery of CSS is phenomenal. The things he does with Javascript are amazing. He’s also done exceptional graphic design work from YouTube thumbnails to bookcovers and logos and more. Most importantly, Ben is not someone to “phone it in” – whatever project he works on, he does it well. No exceptions. This is made all the more incredible when you consider Ben’s wide and varied skill set. The joke is jack of all trades, master of none. Ben puts that phrase to shame – he is absolutely masterful at all the work he does. If a project ever requires him to learn new skills, he’s more than capable and often enthusiastic to do so.

Ben has always done excellent work and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with him. The only reason Ben is looking for work is because I’ve chosen to downsize Shire Digital Solutions to focus more on my family and other pursuits.
