A combination mark logo for a non-profit entity committed to introducing oceanography to primary and secondary schools.
An established deep sea exploration team, looking to expand their business model to include non-profit and academic research projects, came to me for a logo. The client’s original concept incorporated several nautical pictographic elements, but in the interest of clarity and memorability, I steered them toward simpler, more iconic images.
Original sketches were done with pencil on paper, then scanned and refined in Adobe Photoshop, and then the final candidate was done in Adobe Illustrator.
